Komatsu for sale

So you want to buy a Komatsu Mini Digger, but which one is going to be right for your needs? Here we give you the breakdown of Komatsu Mini Diggers available on the market, in order to help you choose the right one to buy.

Why Buy A Komatsu Mini Digger Over Other Manufacturers?

Komatsu Ltd has been a manufacturer of construction machinery since 1921. The Japanese multinational first began in the mining and forestry industry, providing outstanding machinery to both of these industries. They then  branched out into providing excellent quality plant equipment. Due to their precision, their accuracy and detail, the Komatsu brand has ensured practical, durable and quality products for many decades. Their reputation in the construction world for renowned world-class construction machinery is ten-fold. Komatsu is now the second largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment in the world.

Starting With The Komatsu PC14

Komatsu made the PC14 with experienced users, as well as novices in mind. This makes the PC14 an incredibly versatile machine. Although one of the smallest excavators on the market, this mini digger is still very specious from an operators point of view. Usability wise, the Komatsu PC14 can accommodate very quick and precise movements. It even comes with a tilting cab for maintenance work.

The engine power is 11.6kW, bucket capacity is 0.03 to 0.06 metres cubed, digging depth is 2.25 meters and the operating weight is between 1.44 to 1.8 tonne.

If you want a machine that is perfect for fitting into tight spaces but delivers optimal power, then buy a Komatsu mini digger PC14.

In Comparison To The Komatsu PC26

In comparison to the Komatsu PC14, you have the Komatsu PC26 available. The PC26 comes with a 15.7kW engine power, 0.04 to 0.09 meter cubed bucket capacity, a digging depth of 2.72 meters and an operating weight between 2.55 to 2.8 tonne. So for a machine slightly bigger than the PC14 with more room for the operator inside the cab. In addition, a machine with slightly more power and digging capability, this could be the machine for you.

Let’s Look At The Komatsu PC55

When it comes to the Komatsu PC55, you really do level up. This machine comes with an auto accelerator as standard, idle shutdown as standard. As well as 1st proportional line, you guessed it, as standard.

The engine power on the Komatsu PC55 is an impressive 29.6kW which is almost double that of the PC26. The bucket capacity is 0.16 to 0.18 meters cubed. Digging depth is 4.13 meters and operating weight is 5.26 tonne.

This upgrade of mini digger is built with comfort in mind. Perfect for long days sitting in the cab when carrying out big jobs, the PC55 comes with a high definition 3.5 inch LCD monitor display. This makes it perfect for providing excellent visibility for the operator. The operator can choose to either leave the screens on or simply switch them off. However leaving them on will provide useful information such as operation records and maintenance data.

On the PC55, the fuel and hydraulic tanks are located on the side of the machine under the side bonnet, providing easy access. In addition, Komatsu have further kept safety in mind as the cab easily tilts back so that maintenance tasks can be performed with greater ease.

When it comes to movement control, the Komatsu PC55 really does deliver. The CLSS (closed centre load sensing system) hydraulic circuit guarantees power. It also provides incredible speed and accuracy over movements. This is all done in simultaneous movements, which means the operator can perform all of the movements with efficiency at the maximum.

Finally, Consider the Komatsu PC80

When designing this machine, Komatsu focused their attention to operating costs and ensuring operating costs were kept as low as possible. This machine is perfect for working in urban environments as an integrated counterweight and tight tail swing radius provides optimal work production delivery.

The PC80 is provided with developed hydraulic electronic controls such as the ones you would see on larger excavators. It also comes with the high resolution 3.5 LCD colour monitor panel. In addition to other Komatsu mini diggers available for sale, the PC80 comes with a new blade design and profile and new hinged door design. What’s more is that with the Komatsu PC80, you benefit from a neutral detection system control lever and KOMTRAX telematics. Is this enough to wet your appetite?

The engine size on the PC80 is 46kW and the bucket capacity is 0.12 to 0.27 meters cubed. Digging depth is a very generous 4,335 meters and the operating weight is 8 tonnes.
