Welcome back to our latest Digger News post, here at IPS. This week we are focusing on the type of used construction equipment for sale at International Plant Sales. With so much variety available when it comes to construction machinery, we want to highlight the main types of machinery available, and how they can be incorporated into your construction project. Excavators

Mini and Midi Diggers
Here at IPS, we tend to stock mainly Komatsu machinery, due to the quality and efficiency of the excavators.

Komatsu PC14 R-3HS
Mini and Midi Diggers are perfect for smaller-scale construction projects, and any landscaping needs. They can be operated very easily by even the newest of individuals to the construction industry, due to the size of the machines. Mini and Midi diggers can be very versatile and can undertake a variety of tasks such as digging, backfilling, assisting with the removal of tree stumps and many more. They are also great for any sites that have limited access, and a mini or midi digger will be a great addition to any construction fleet.
Tracked Excavators
A tracked excavator would normally be used when operating on uneven terrain. They are beneficial for any demolition and forestry work. International Plant Sales stock the following tracked excavators:
Tracked excavators can be considered as similar machinery to wheeled excavators due to the tasks that can be carried out. The main difference is the roadliner pads or steel tracks, that allow the machine to manoeuvre over uneven or rocky surfaces. The advantage of tracked excavators is that they have additional grip and stability in comparison to a wheeled digger. This will, therefore, increase the digging power as the machinery is stabilised. We stock mainly Komatsu tracked excavators, so if you’re looking to buy a Komatsu then we will have something to meet your specifications. We also stock a LiuGong 922E should you require this particular brand.
Telehandlers
We stock two different brands of telehandlers including Manitou and JCB, giving customers more choice when it comes to used construction equipment for sale. Telehandlers are used in replacement of forklifts on a construction site but are not limited to this particular type of work due to its capabilities. As it is a wheeled vehicle it isn’t restricted to where it can go, meaning they are capable of on and off-road driving.

Looking at the JCB 540-200 for example, it is the largest reach JCB telehandler available, with a maximum lift height of 20 metres. It is an essential construction machine to have on a demolition site, that may require reaching high areas or picking up a colossal amount of material at one time.
Dumper Trucks / Site Dumpers
We stock Thwaites and Terex site dumpers, as well as Hydrema dumper trucks. Whether you are looking for a one ton dumper for small site projects, or a Hydrema dumper truck that would be suitable for all major construction works, we have a machine to suit you.

Dumpers are typically used for the manoeuvring of industrial materials from one place to another. Within our selection of dumpers, customers have the option of straight skip or a swivel skip, allowing easier manoeuvrability for the operator.
Used Road Rollers for sale
A roller is frequently used for post-excavation. When operators require material to be compressed or compacted a roller would be used, this could include any soil, gravel or concrete.
They are most commonly used at landfills, landscaping and agricultural projects. There are various types of rollers available, but we specialise in Ammann tandem rollers, that have between an 820mm to 1300mm drum width.

Masterhitch Europe Ltd are also part of the H.E. Group. They tend to do a lot of internal work for the group of companies, creating bespoke digger attachments and buckets, as well as external projects for customers.

About H.E. SERVICES (Plant Hire) Ltd
We receive the majority of our used construction machinery from our sister company H.E. SERVICES (Plant Hire) Ltd. Machinery is bought from new for all of the 10 UK based depots, ready for them to go out on hire to their customers. When the machines reach 3 years old new machinery is purchased, and the used construction equipment is passed onto the team at IPS to sell.
About Diggerland
We are also partnered with Diggerland UK Theme Parks. Located in Kent, Devon, Durham and Yorkshire, construction machinery is purchased from new. The machines are then specially adapted by our sister company Masterhitch, to ensure they are user-friendly, as children and adults are like can operate and drive real-life construction machinery. Similar procedures are in place for Diggerland, in regards to the machinery, and new machines are purchased every 3 years on average for all of the parks.
IPS receive a vast amount of JCB SSL 135 Skidsteers, JCB 3CX Backhoe Loaders, and a range of used excavators that are now available to be sold to the global market. It is beneficial to buy an ex-Diggerland machine as:
